A few things about me:
My favourite book is The Beach by Alex Garland. Just one, of course...I have many favourite books...
I love birds, in particular birds of prey. But times change. For example, back when I was 8-years-old, I was completely obsessed with fossils. Around this time I decided I would only eat St. Ivel Gold margarine and no other type of margarine. It drove my parents round the bend. I now eat a number of makes of butter and margarine and my parents still consider this a serious achievement.
For 15 years, BMX was a huge part of my life. I rode for various sponsors, and once, me and a number of team-mates all boarded a bus (the same bus that Westlife had used on one of their tours, no less!) and we travelled around Scandinavia for a month. I miss riding BMX (I had to give up back in 2009, due to illness). The accidents I had and the times I ended up in A & E gave me a deep understanding of muscles, bone and pain threshholds.
I prefer eating chocolate bars the right way round. Eating them the wrong way round just feels...wrong.
I have been a picture framer as well as an artist. I'm still an artist, but nowadays I prefer to do illustrations and paintings as and when it suits me. I'm not concerned about selling my art any more.
I am intrigued by the healthcare system, medicine, biology and the incredible scientific advances we are making on a daily basis.
I no longer drink tea, which is hard to believe, as for many years I drank about 15 cups of Yorkshire Tea each and every day. I feel much better drinking only water.
Moving images fascinate me. Combining these with writing always feels like progress.
My favourite book is The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. My favourite book is...
